2x18 ESTO... ¿CÓMO SE DICE?

En el episodio 18 de la segunda temporada de "Español en 10 minutos", Dani y Juan plantean un problema al que se enfrentan muchos aprendices de lengua extranjera: aprender VOCABULARIO. Concretamente se centran en que, a medida que progresamos en nuestro aprendizaje y llegamos a niveles intermedios y avanzados, aprendemos mucho vocabulario, en ocasiones muy ESPECIALIZADO y TÉCNICO, pero a la hora de hablar notamos que nos falta vocabulario de la VIDA COTIDIANA, más SIMPLE y de uso muy FRECUENTE. Para solventar esa carencia, nos proponen una serie de estrategias como pueden ser el uso de la DESCRIPCIÓN, los CIRCUNLOQUIOS y la PARÁFRASIS, es decir, recursos que implican que usemos la lengua que estamos aprendiendo y no recurrir a DICCIONARIOS o aplicaciones móviles o la lengua materna. En este episodio podréis practicar estas ESTRATEGIAS así como el uso de los PRONOMBRES RELATIVOS con preposiciones (QUE, EL QUE, LA QUE, EN EL QUE, DONDE, CON EL QUE, ETC...), además, en clase, podéis plantear el juego que hacen Dani y Juan para adivinar el nombre de las palabras que se describen. In episode 18 of the second season of “Español en 10 minutos”, Dani and Juan present a problem that many foreign language learners face: learning VOCABULARY. Specifically, they focus on the fact that as we progress in our learning and reach intermediate and advanced levels, we learn a lot of vocabulary, sometimes very SPECIALIZED and TECHNICAL, but when it comes to speaking, we notice that we lack vocabulary from EVERY DAY LIFE, which is SIMPLER and more FRECUENTLY USED. To overcome this deficiency, they propose a series of strategies such as the use of DESCRIPTION, CIRCUMLOCUTION, and PARAPHRASING, that is, resources that involve using the language we are learning and not resorting to DICTIONARIES or mobile applications or our native language. In this episode, you can practice these STRATEGIES as well as the use of RELATIVE PRONOUNS with prepositions (THAT, WHICH, WHO, IN WHICH, WHERE, WITH WHICH, ETC…). Additionally, in class, you can play the game that Dani and Juan play to guess the name of the words that are described. This episode is recommended for intermediate and advanced SPANISH students (B1, B2, C1, and C2).
