Iedereen krijgt automatisch een brief voor een bevolkingsonderzoek in de brievenbus. De veronderstelling is dat je mee wil doen, en wil je dat niet, dan moet je dat zelf actief aangeven. Iemand die dat heeft gedaan en aan geen enkel bevolkingsonderzoek meedoet, is Marli Huijer, voormalig Denker der Nederlanden en schrijver van het boek De toekomst van het sterven (2022).
