30. What’s in Your Bag, Bev Cart Chronicles & the Babes Golf Experience

from T-Time with Tori Totlis

Tori sits down with Alex, Sally, and Amanda of Babes Golf to talk about what sets their exclusive community apart from all other golf communities.  They then show off the most unique items they keep in their golf bags, all the while giving their best tips for newbies on golf bag essentials!  Key Moments ?      (14:37) “We may not get a hole-in-one, but we have a whole lot of fun.” This is what Babes Golf is all about: to steer as far as possible from your usual competitive golf club and be a community that prioritizes fun, without any of the pressure of outcompeting your fellow golfer! ?      (27:36) Opening a Babes Golf chapter in Arizona came with a fair share of surprises. The first was how much higher the costs are in running a golf club in Arizona even compared to California. Another is having to figure out a way to fill the summer schedule, considering very few people want to play golf around this time. ?      (32:17) Sally and Amanda show off the most unique items in their golf bags! Listen to the stories behind a custom-made JAWS wedge, a Birdie Supply towel with a magnet, a handy club-cleaning brush, a special-edition ball and a matching club head cover, and wedges passed down from father to daughter! ?      (41:34) It’s important to change your wedges every 80 rounds. Likewise, players should get their grips changed every 40 rounds. This is a very easy process: Head to the PGA superstore, or any golf store, and ask the representative to install the grips for you for a fee. They’ll be ready in a couple days. Note that if you belong to a club, you can ask to get new grips installed in the bag room.  Connect with Our Guests: Babes Golf: Instagram | Website Alex Andersen: Instagram Sally Touw: Instagram Amanda Pigos: Instagra ...
