#3072026/04/21(火)How teachers call students in your country? In your country, how do teachers call their students? When I was in elementary school, teachers called me “Ai-san,” but in junior high and high school, they called me by my last name without san. Boys were called with kun instead of san.But these days, it is common for teachers to call students by their last names with san, regardless of gender. My son, who is in elementary school, is also called “XX-san” by his teacher, so I often feel that it sounds very grown-up.【Today’s words】AをBで呼ぶ(Aを Bで よぶ)/ to call A by B名字(みょうじ)/ last name, family name呼び捨て(よびすて)/ calling someone by name without san, kun, or chan.君(くん)/ -kun (an honorific often used for boys)男女問わず(だんじょ とわず)/ regardless of gender★This post is also available on the broadcast channel (Japanese daily tips) of my Instagram. 【https://www.instagram.com/channel/AbbOi9lyhNtGwo6A/?igsh=enhqNGRyajhobnZ5】
