明治維新期、最後の津軽藩主(弘前藩)は、熊本細川氏から養子を迎えている。その名は津軽承昭氏。後に廃藩置県後の知事にもなられ、その曾孫は正仁親王妃華子(津軽華子)様である。もともとは熊本の人なのだから、我が青森県民は熊本に足を向けては寝られない…という訳で熊本には並々ならぬ思いがありながら、実は20代後半まで行く機会が無かった。(沖縄や、更にヨーロッパ、アメリカにも行っていたのに)しかし、３０代前半に本田氏に呼ばれてから、九州、特に熊本には毎年行くようになってしまった。その後、古川・吉本・松永・矢野らと出会ったのも本田氏のお蔭。なかなか濃い(恋)奴らとずっと一緒に生きている。保総研の九州ブロック長であり、夫婦そろって美男美女、何よりも保育と農業をずっと続けている彼の思いは※水到渠成そのものなのだろう。熊本に行って本田に会うと近しい親戚といる気持ちになる（血は繋がっていないのに）。こんな幸せな関係を30年近く続けていることに感謝したい。 ※水到渠成すいとうきょせい/続けることによりそのことが生きがいとなる
