329. 3 ways to regulate your nervous system when life feels messy!

from House of Joy- Christian Life Coaching · host That Sounds Fun Network

As I’m recording this, we are just ten days away from Emme’s wedding (cue all the happy tears and chaos 😅). And let’s just say… my nervous system has had a lot of practice lately staying grounded and peaceful! Between my acid peel (what was I thinking?), a full closet overhaul, rewriting our business guidebook, and even starting English horseback riding lessons — it’s been a wild couple of weeks. But here’s what I’ve noticed: many of these things have actually been helping me regulate. They’re creative, grounding, and keep me present — and that’s what we’re talking about today: how to calm your nervous system and come back to peace, no matter what’s happening around you. In this episode, we’ll chat about: ✨ The difference between your parasympathetic and sympathetic nervous systems — and why it matters ✨ How your body doesn’t know the difference between being chased by a bear and getting a snarky comment from your teenager ✨ Why it’s not about never getting stressed, but learning how to come back to calm ✨ My three favorite ways to bring yourself back to peace when life feels like a lot Here’s the thing: your nervous system needs to know you’re safe — that all is well. And when you can create that internal sense of safety, even when things feel busy or uncertain, everything changes. So take a deep breath, dear ones. You are safe, you are loved, and all is well. 💛 Cozy Earth — Use code HOJ for 40% off at https://tinyurl.com/HOJCozyEarth  Check out the NIV Application Bible here https://tinyurl.com/HOJNIVAppBible and use code HOJ at checkout for an additional 10% off!!  Try Piper and Leaf tea! https://tinyurl.com/HOJPiperandLeaf  Interested in advertising on this show?
