Corporate culture refers to the shared values, attitudes, standards, and beliefs that characterize members of an organization and define its nature. But what happens when corporate culture and your cultural identity collide. Sometimes it’s a match, but too often we find ourselves trying to fit into workspaces that rarely considered us as part of their culture in the first places. Today we want to discuss 5 different ways you can navigate corporate culture, especially in predominantly white settings.We are joined by a special guest, Nicole, to discuss how it feels to be in a work environment culture that collides with your own culture. Nicole is a University of Pittsburgh graduate and has spent over a decade-plus years working in different professional environments. She’s had many awesome achievements in her life so far, including being a successful working Mom and wife. Nicole definitely has some gems to drop while pulling from her well-rounded experiences as a Full-Time Black Woman.
