We’ll dive deep into tough questions about how our political opinions shape our relationships, our consumption of media, and our view of the world. Are we contributing to division and fear, or are we embodying the love and hope of Christ? Join us for a reflective conversation on how to align our hearts with the values of the kingdom—where love for our neighbors takes precedence over seeing opponents as enemies. We'll also reflect on confession, repentance, and how to live with a renewed commitment to God’s kingdom in these divisive times. "Beware of any movement that acts as though the world is full of enemies to be conquered or destroyed rather than full of neighbors to be loved." How much of my time and attention is spent consuming partisan media? Think about it. What effect does that have on how you see the world? Is it fueling fear, anxiety, and division? How much of my partisan behavior is different from those around me? Do I let anger, fear, or frustration drive me toward the old ways—labeling people, vilifying, or holding onto unforgiveness? Do I see my political opponents as enemies, or do I see them as neighbors to be loved?
