Vasta myöhemmin hän liitti suomalaisuuden osaksi identiteettiään.Emma Rantalainen tunnetaan vapaasukelluksen kärkinimenä Suomessa: elokuussa 2023 hän teki Hondurasin MM-kisoissa muun muassa kolme vapaan syvyyssukelluksen Suomen ennätystä.Emma on myös maailmaa kiertävä ilma-akrobaatti ja merenneito.
