そして、“いつもここに行くんだ / I come here all the time.” そして、“いつも ここに いくんだ / I come here all the time.” Yesterday, I talked about the Michael Jackson movie, and there was one scene in it that really stayed with me.(I was watching it with Japanese subtitles.)Michael was showing Bubbles (his pet) Neverland from the Peter Pan picture book. And then he said“I come here all the time,”and I was shocked because I thought it would be “go,” not “come”!It reminded me once again how difficult the difference between go and come in English can be.【Today’s words】印象に残る(いんしょうに のこる)/ to stay in one’s memory, to leave an impression衝撃を受ける(しょうげきを うける)/ to be shocked改めて思う(あらためて おもう)/ to realize again, to think again絵本(えほん)/ picture bookやっぱり/ after all, as I thought★This post is also available on the broadcast channel (Japanese daily tips) of my Instagram. 【https://www.instagram.com/channel/AbbOi9lyhNtGwo6A/?igsh=enhqNGRyajhobnZ5】
