35. It's Not Your Fault, But It Is Your Responsibility to Forgive

from Embracing Enough · host Dina Scippa

I am a big proponent of forgiving yourself, but I get how much easier it is said than done. This week's episode unpacks how to get to a place where you can truly accept that things that have happened to you are not your fault; however it is your responsibility to forgive. And forgiveness always begins with yourself. It can be difficult to stop faulting others for how their faults have impacted our lives, even after we may have moved on from something trauamatic. Forgiveness is all about choice, and at a certain point, we all come to a place where we ask ourselves, what are we choosing? It’s not being selfish to consciously choose to forgive yourself, to do some inner reflection and learn from experiences. And it’s not selfish to forgive something or someone because the anger and pain is too heavy to bare. That’s the point.  Let this episode serve as a reminder to you that forgiveness is power AND recognize that forgiveness doesn't always look like what we thought it was going to look like.  Find more of Dina: Instagram: @enoughlabs Share some love to the show by leaving a rating, review, and of course subscribing so you stay up to date on future episodes.
