35. What I learned from 2023

from YES MUJER BUILD IT · host Wendy Amara

In this episode, I talk about what I learned in 2023 with an emphasis on one of the most important lessons I learned that has affected everything in my life. Biggest lesson...I get to TRUST myself. I’ve realized we have so much wisdom inside us that we often overlook. Sometimes we have this idea of always needing outside advice from mentors, coaches, etc.  Or we have built the habit of looking for others' approval.Don't get me wrong,  it is good to have guidance, and there are occasions and situations where guidance is needed like when making legal business decisions, for example. But there are also times when you get to just trust your GUT! And the biggest lesson I was reminded of in 2023...I already know a lot of stuff - and I get to trust in my own experience. The answers are inside me. The answers are inside you.   To those who are running a business, I also learned this past year the importance of asking for help when you start to feel overwhelmed. It is really important to delegate and seek help as your business grows. As a CEO, I've learned how critical it is to recognize when I need help and to actively raise my hand. Delegating tasks frees up time for me to focus on the core parts of my business and make better strategic decisions. Clear communication is a game-changer when delegating. My delegation muscles were certainly strengthened during 2023.The last biggest lesson I learned from 2023 was that at the end of the day, it all comes back to my relationship with myself. Even with tons of advice and a big team, the success of my business is equal to how I feel about myself. The success comes down to the clarity, trust, and love I have for myself.   As I am sure you can relate, on certain days I am more lovable than on other days. But the key here is to have compassion with myself. To build this deeper relationship with myself, I was reminded of this past year - the importance of spending time ALONE. Time alone has equaled more clarity for me. Less chatter, less chaos. In this episode you’ll learn:Some of the Ups and Downs I had in 2023 and the lessons I learnedHow to trust yourself more and rely on your own intuition and wisdomHow delegating tasks and asking for help is crucial to scaling a business and allowing the vision to expandThe most important aspect of building a successful business is the relationship you have with yourself, including spending time alone and connecting with your highest selfThe growth and changes that will occur in 2024 and the connection to ABUNDANCEConnect with Wendy:Inspired Action WebsiteJoin Wendy's Email ListWendy’s WebsiteWendy’s InstagramWendy's LinkedInWendy's TikTokE-mail Wendy
