#357 The language of samurai movies

#3572026/07/08（水）The language of samurai movies週末に「黒牢城」という映画も見ました。これは時代劇で、16世紀ごろの話だったのですが、昔の言葉が難しく、慣れるのに時間がかかりました。武士の「私」は「それがし」、女性の「私」は「わらわ」などです。役者さんはセリフを覚えるのが大変だっただろうなあと、映画の間ずっと思っていました。しゅうまつに「こくろうじょう」という えいがも みました。これは じだいげきで、16せいきごろの はなしだったのですが、むかしの ことばが むずかしく、なれるのに じかんが かかりました。ぶしの「わたし」は「それがし」、じょせいの「わたし」は「わらわ」などです。やくしゃさんは せりふを おぼえるのが たいへんだっただろうなあとえいがの あいだ ずっと おもっていました。I also watched a movie called Kokuroujou last weekend.It was a historical film set around the 16th century.And the old-fashioned language was difficult,so it took me a while to get used to it.For example, a samurai’s “I” was “soregashi,”and a woman’s “I” was “warawa.”Throughout the movie, I kept thinking,“It must have been so hard for the actors to memorize these lines.”【Today’s words】時代劇（じだいげき）/ historical drama, period dramaX世紀（Xせいき）/ Xth century昔の言葉（むかしの ことば）/ old-fashioned language武士（ぶし）/ samurai, warrior役者（やくしゃ）/ actorセリフ（せりふ）/ lines, dialogue★This post is also available on the broadcast channel (Japanese daily tips) of my Instagram. 【https://www.instagram.com/channel/AbbOi9lyhNtGwo6A/?igsh=enhqNGRyajhobnZ5】
