Many individuals, despite adopting a healthier lifestyle and diet, experience weight gain due to underlying issues like high insulin and glucose levels. One of the most frustrating experiences for many is the inability to shed weight even after making positive dietary and lifestyle changes. The crux of the issue might lie in the inadequate testing for insulin levels, much like the problems we see with thyroid testing. An example is when hemoglobin A1C tests might read as "normal" at a value of say "5.6", but in actuality, it isn't flagged as high on most lab reports, leading to misinterpretations.
