36 | The Vocal Artist's Path & The Beginner's Mind: 5 Tips to Start Where You Are

Often as we enter a new year, we’re thinking about what we want to create... what goals, dreams, and aspirations we want to focus on or work towards this year.  There’s something about the calendar turning over that gets us dreaming again…    But too often, these new creative projects and goals can be derailed by perfectionism.  And so we stop before we even begin… or we start and then beat ourselves up for not being perfect from the get-go.     That’s why it’s so important to approach these new beginnings with a healthy mindset ~ this is where the concept of the Beginner’s Mind comes into play…   Is there something you want to start, or begin again, or learn anew, a new path, a pivot, a shift, a different way of doing things that is calling you, but you feel like you should be further along?  Like you should know that by now?  If you’re struggling to allow yourself to start messy, or want to learn something new, and do it with a fresh perspective, less pressure, more freedom ~ I have 5 tips to help you start with a Beginner’s Mind.   This is the beginning of something beautiful.    So just start.  Meet yourself where you are and begin.   Here are 5 tips to help you do just that.   <3 Lainey   P.S.
