#362 A gentle rainy-day gesture

#3622026/07/15（水）A gentle rainy-day gesture今年は本当に梅雨らしい、しとしとと雨が降る日が続いています。梅雨には傘が欠かせませんが、この前ラジオで初めて、「傘かしげ」という言葉を知りました。狭い通りで、傘をさして人とすれ違うとき、相手にぶつからないように傘を傾けることを言うそうです。いつも無意識にやっている動作ですが、どこか儚さを感じる、きれいな言葉だなと思いました。ことしは ほんとうに つゆらしい、しとしとと あめが ふる ひが つづいています。つゆには かさが かかせませんが、このまえ らじおで はじめて、「かさかしげ」という ことばを しりました。せまい とおりで、かさを さして ひとと すれちがう とき、あいてに ぶつからないように かさを かたむけることを いうそうです。いつも むいしきに やっている どうさですが、どこか はかなさを かんじる、きれいな ことばだなと おもいました。This year really feels like the rainy season.We’ve had many days of gentle, steady rain.Umbrellas are essential during this season, but the other day I learned a new word on the radio: kasa kashige.It refers to the small gesture of tilting your umbrella when passing someone on a narrow street so that you don’t bump into them.It’s something we do without even thinking about it,but I thought it was a beautiful word that somehow carries a sense of fragility and grace.【Today’s words】しとしと/ We use it to describe rain falling gently and steadily.傘かしげ（かさかしげ）/ tilting your umbrella to avoid bumping into someoneすれ違う（すれちがう）/ to pass by someone傾ける（かたむける）/ to tilt, to lean無意識に（むいしきに）/ unconsciously儚さ（はかなさ）/ transience, fragility, fleeting beauty★This post is also available on the broadcast channel (Japanese daily tips) of my Instagram. 【https://www.instagram.com/channel/AbbOi9lyhNtGwo6A/?igsh=enhqNGRyajhobnZ5】
