37. Empowerment Through Expression With Drag Performer Vivian Storm

If you are a Santa Barbara local, you may have spotted Vivian strutting her stuff at a drag brunch or hosting a fun karaoke or bingo night downtown. In this episode, we discuss how Vivian first started performing, how she embodies her drag persona (hint: she channels one of my favorite singers/performers), and the LGBTQIA+ community in Santa Barbara (and the ways that we can all show up and support). Vivian vulnerably shares her joys and challenges and why she focuses on the cheerleaders instead of the haters (as we all should).Vivian Storm was discovered in 2009 at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh while obtaining her Masters in Educational Leadership. Taking a chance at completely owning her talents, Vivian entered a college drag show. She quickly fell in love with the art of illusion and performance. By using emotion-filled songs for her empowering performances, Vivian continues to connect with her fans (a.k.a. Storm Chasers).
