Izzi Batt-Doyle ran 2:22:59 for third all time, 8th in the race. Both qualify for next year’s Athletics World Championship in Tokyo. Megertu Alemu of Ethiopia won in 2:16:49, ahead of Stella Chesang setting the national record for Uganda and Tiruye Mesfin of Ethiopia. Amy Robinson won the state title in 16:10.77 ahead of Sarah Klein and Georgia Hansen. AthsVic Results Hub   Yuya Yoshida won the Fukuoka International Marathon in 2:05:16 in Japan, with Michael Marantelli was the best Australian in 2:21:02. Jack Rayner paced half way through to 62:57. Results   Sifan Hassan was awarded overall Women’s World Athlete of the Year, as well as best Out of Stadium athlete. Tamirat Tola was awarded best Out of Stadia Athlete for 2024.
