372. Bondi Beach shooting: can we fight antisemitism without being Islamophobic?

The antisemitic shootings in Bondi Beach are tragic and we must condemn it in every way, shape, and form. Full stop. It is problematic to me that we use attacks against Jewish people to bring up Islamophobia. People like Senator Lindsey Graham are using the shootings in Australia to say that there should never be a Palestinian state. Many people are also failing (intentionally?) to mention the Muslim man, Ahmed al Ahmed, who saved many Jewish lives before being shot himself. This works against the narrative that every Muslim or Arab person is a terrorist. In the same way we don't use terrorist attacks form people like Dylan Roof to condemn all White men, we shouldn't condemn all people from the Arab world.
