375. What This Sweater Taught Me About Hard Seasons, Growth & Receiving Support
from House of Joy- Christian Life Coaching · host That Sounds Fun Network
This is a short episode, but it carries a lot of heart. Today I’m telling you a story about a sweater… but really, it’s a story about growth, hard seasons, and who we’re becoming in the middle of it all. I started a knitting project that I definitely was not ready for. At first glance, it felt overwhelming—too complicated, too intricate, too much. And honestly? That’s exactly how some seasons of life feel. But slowly, with patience, help, and a whole lot of staying with it, something shifted. In this episode, we talk about: Why hard seasons often feel like “too much” at first How growth happens through staying, not rushing The beauty of learning something you once thought you couldn’t do Why the hard things in your life may be forming something in you The powerful (and often overlooked) practice of receiving support How to recognize the love and help that’s already surrounding you One of the biggest lessons I’m learning right now is this: You don’t have to have it all figured out. You just have to stay. And maybe—just maybe—this season is teaching you something you’ll carry for the rest of your life. I love you so much. I’m so grateful you’re here.
