38. The secret payoff to staying stuck

We all have to shake things up from time to time. In this episode, I decided to do something different and just speak from my heart. No script, no research, just me. Recording from my family's home in Massachusetts, I explore what has been my dirty little payoff to staying stuck in certain patterns with my family and how they come back in full FUEGO whenever I come home. Something about this trip has me realizing that it may be time to FINALLY shift from that place where I've been stuck rather than hoping in vain that the change I desire will come about magically and painlessly. What I realize is that when you've mastered yourself but still come up against internal resistance (because you always do), you're able to acknowledge it, and work through it with trust. What I'm learning is that openness and awareness are at the heart of the process and the mind’s role is to identify and let go of the emotions that can stop you from following their heart’s directives. Let this episode be a reminder to trust yourself enough to move beyond the patterns that have kept you comfortable and stuck playing small. You may surprise yourself how much these "comfortable" behavior patterns aren't serving you.
