39. The F Word - Working Well With Different People

Send us Fan MailIn the first of our 'To Be Different Is To Be Human' focus in June, this episode scans the broad and widening horizon of inclusion, diversity and belonging. A potential consequence from geographical restriction is that our lives can become smaller and less diverse without random interaction.  Learning how to mix with different unknown people again may require a conscious decision than pre-pandemic. As Maya Angelou said 'people may forget what you said or did, but they never forget how you made them feel. Being sensitive and open-minded in how we work with others may not always be easy during times of pressure or rapid change.  We discuss why this topic is vital for the evolving workplace and that using the F word well (F is for Feedback!) can often be the path to building trust and deeper understanding for difference. If we all keep quiet how do we learn?  To be different is to be human!
