Check out our web site for more details about this excellent upcoming program.

Briefly, we'll be speaking with Dr. Bell today to answer questions about The Reverse Underground Railroad. What on earth was the motive? Richard Bell associate professor of history at the University of Maryland, examines the prevalence of this heinous practice, the routes the kidnappers took, and the techniques they used to lure free black people. He considers the dramatic impact these kidnappings had on American history: accelerating the spread of slavery into new corners of the country, radicalizing black communities across the free states, and focusing the public's attention for the first time on the suffering of black families forcibly separated by slavery.

That, of course, is our guest today, Dr. Richard Bell, reading from his new book, Stolen: Five Free Boys Kidnapped Into Slavery and Their Astonishing Odyssey Home. Remember, Dr. Richard Bell will be presenting at the Smithsonian Associates program titled The Reverse Underground Railroad: Slavery and Kidnapping in Pre-Civil War America, November 6, 2019, 6:45 PM at the Ripley Center.

Behind Their Success Podcast Abs Mechial I started working in my dad's convenience store when I was about 11 years old (cliche, I know) Since then, I have not stopped working. I’ve had many jobs and worked with lots of inspiring and successful people. I then set up my own business, and I have crossed paths with many other successful entrepreneurs and business owners. From a very early age, I was always intrigued by how some people would achieve so much, yet others would struggle.I carried this through my entire working career. When I started a new role, I would often spend a lot of time observing and studying the top performers. Over the years, I have noticed patterns in overachievers, many of which I have incorporated into my work, business and lifestyle. I truly believe we work so much better when we collaborate and learn from each other, whether learning positive habits and skills to learning from each other's failures and shortfalls.I have started a podcast where I speak to high performers within various industrie OGs Not Old Heads Oktane and Shug The OGs Not Old Heads Podcast is your go-to podcast for the latest and greatest in the world of Hip-Hop, hosted by the dynamic duo, Oktane and Shug.
