3960 Why the Small Stuff Matters to God

from Create Your Now with Kristianne Wargo

Have you ever thought why the small stuff matters to God? Shouldn't just the big things that shift your life get all the attention? It's easy to let your everyday get swallowed up by the routines and distractions, work deadlines, household chores, and endless to-do lists that we often overlook where our faith truly intersects with our everyday moments. But you must remember, God cares deeply about the seemingly small, mundane parts of your day. It's in these moments that your faith becomes real, not just a Sunday sentiment but a lived reality. Consider Colossians 3:23–24 (NIV): "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving." Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? The dishes you wash, the emails you send, the conversations you have—they all hold spiritual significance when aligned with a desire to honor God. In fact, Jesus points us to this daily intersection in Luke 16:10 (NIV): "Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much." Faithfulness in the "little" things of life is the foundational soil where spiritual growth happens. When we overlook the mundane, we miss opportunities to live out God's values: kindness, patience, and integrity. Another powerful truth is found in Matthew 6:33 (NIV): "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." Seeking God's kingdom isn't only about grand gestures or major decisions; it's also about putting Him first in how you handle your daily commitments, your mindset during challenges, and your attitude toward others. The K.I.S.S. ~ Why the small stuff matters to God! So, what does it look like when faith and daily life intersect? It means choosing gratitude over grumbling in traffic, offering compassion when stressed, or praying quietly during a moment of overwhelm. It's living with the awareness that your everyday actions echo far beyond your immediate circumstances—they resonate in God's bigger story. Don't get trapped in the illusion that your faith is separate from your daily grind. It's precisely where you are—right now—that God wants to meet you. When you stop glossing over what feels mundane and instead invite God into those moments, your life reflects a faith that's honest, active, and deeply rooted. "You are not just a Sunday Christian," Paul reminds us in Romans 12:1 (paraphrased): offer your whole self every day as a living sacrifice—holy and pleasing to God. Your daily life is your worship. It's where you say, "God, I trust You here." So let faith and life collide—in your 9 to 5, your family chaos, your quiet mornings. That's where the real work happens. This is what really matters—not just to you, but more importantly to God. "Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!"   #SweetSpirit #CreateYourNow #SoulfulSunday 🔔 Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women?
