Jesus said that it was actually better for us as followers that He would go away because in leaving, He was sending the Holy Spirit (John 16). Really? That’s better? Because if we’re being honest, given the chance to exchange our current experience up to this point of following Jesus with a face to face moment with Him—which one would most people likely lean toward? There seems to be a gap between many of Jesus’ promises and many people’s actual experience as they follow Him. Is this it?
