First “You look like your dad, but you have your mother’s eyes” moment  Hagrid drinking… our favourite drunk uncle Petunia’s jealousy comes to an ugly head So much information dropped in one chapter - is it too much for children to follow? Our first introduction to the Big Baddy - Voldemort Meeting Hagrid - our first real connection to the Wizarding World before Ron Was Hagrid too combative when meeting the Dursley’s? Did he know about the mistreatment? Was Hagrid (also Dumbledore) naive in thinking Harry would be told about Hogwarts, etc? How exactly does Hagrid do magic? Fun wordplay with Hagrid being a “giant of a man”  Why send Hagrid to collect Harry over someone else?
