4. In the Wilderness - Mark 1:12-13

The wilderness in scripture is a desolate place, a place of judgment. Yet we read that Jesus, the perfect Son of God, had to endure temptation in the wilderness, just like we do in our daily lives. The Spirit pilots Jesus into the wilderness so that he will be proven as the new Adam and the new Israel of God.In this sermon, we consider how the temptation of Jesus can aid in our Christian walk of sanctification.
