Her work has been published nationally and internationally on public sector innovation and public participation in the development of public policy. With degrees in science, sociology, policy and planning, along with a Certificate in Public Leadership from Harvard Kennedy School of Government, she brings a unique perspective on topics based on her experience across sectors, disciplines and practices. She drove the social inclusion and digital divide agenda, created the cyber security CRC in WA, created greater transparency and governance of the GovNext-ICT reform, and laid the foundation for the inter-jurisdictional data sharing initiative.  Marion delivered the State’s first innovation strategy and implemented a number of programs aimed at growing the startup ecosystem. She had an extensive career in the public sector spanning several government agencies and sectors including, water, agriculture, social policy, intergovernmental relations, data and digital reform. Her work has been published nationally and internationally on public sector innovation and public participation in the development of public policy.
