Je vous propose dans ce nouvel épisode de faire un très agréable détour par le Québec pour partir à la rencontre d’Hélène Dumais. Hélène est une aventurière et athlète d’endurance absolument fascinante. Elle a multiplié les performances sur des distances extrêmes, des parcours ultra exigeants et dans des conditions souvent hostiles. Vous l’entendrez dans cet épisode, Hélène fait preuve d’une détermination à nulle autre pareille et d’une envie de toujours rêver plus grand, pour repousser aussi loin que possible les limites de l’être humain... à commencer par les siennes. Hélène nous emmène aujourd’hui avec elle sur les sentiers de l’Infinitus 888, une invraisemblable course de 888km aux Etats-Unis, composée de 20 boucles de 44km à réaliser en moins de 10 jours. Cette course d’une exigence folle réunit chaque année une vingtaine de concurrents seulement, et requiert des ressources physiques, mais aussi mentales, exceptionnelles. Après 2 tentatives infructueuses sur cette Infinitus en 2016 et 2017, Hélène a mis en œuvre un plan parfaitement huilé pour se donner toutes les chances de succès à l’occasion de sa 3ème participation. Mais je ne vous en dis pas plus, Hélène va vous raconter tout ça bien mieux que moi.
