Tuli vana Peko metsa äärest, vibutas oma tammepuust keppi ja läks taevasse vihmapilvele rääkima: "Pilved ja vihm, mu vennad-õed, uba ja hernes kaebavad!" Seepeale hakkas sadama vihma ja oad-herned hakkasid tublisti kasvama. Oast-hernest sai uhke kosilane, kes võttis endale tubli naise, oma emale hella minia.
