# 42 Zenuwpijn, haal de scherpe kantjes eraf

Zenuwpijn is lastig te bestrijden. Geneesmiddelen worden vooral gebruikt om de scherpe kantje van de pijn eraf te halen, daarbij wordt het Number Needed to Treat om 50% pijnreductie tee bewerkstelligen veel gebruikt als uitkomstmaat. Dit nummer ligt ongeveer tussen de 4 en de 8 voor de verschillende middelen. De meest gebruikte middelen zijn Antidepressiva, Antiepileptica en soms opioïden.
