421. Job - Chapter #12 - Aged Men Tend to Have Wisdom - November 13, 2023

Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 13. I will then key in on verses 2 & 3 - A man shall eat well by the fruit of his mouth, But the soul of the unfaithful feeds on violence. He who guards his mouth preserves his life, But he who opens wide his lips shall have destruction. Friends, I often talk about the importance of our words. In Proverb 18: verse 21 it tells us that Death and Life are in the power of the tongue, and they that love it shall eat its fruit. Friends, simply put, we will have what the words of our mouth speak. Today we will continue our study on the Book of Job. Today we will take a look at Chapter 12. By the time we complete the chapter I will bring up three points that I would like for you to consider: 1. Our words are vitally important. 2. Aged men tend to have wisdom. Most people that make it to a "ripe old age" have acquired wisdom over the years and have used that wisdom to live life in the decisions that they make. Many people that never acquire wisdom never make it to this age, and their life is often cut short. 3. Evil people will eventually get their due - whether while they're on earth (or, if they end up in hell for not having made the decision to receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior while on Earth). They may appear to be successful in life - but eventually their decisions will eventually cost them. Call to Action - Ask yourself how important words are to you? Are you careful before you speak? Are positive (life-giving) words coming out of your mouth? Or, are negative (words that bring forth death) coming out of your mouth?
