448 - BiSHH Discussion

Bisexual+ people are often overlooked in research, so what happens when a study focuses entirely on us? This week on By the Bi, Angela and Bradford dive into the groundbreaking BiSHH (Bi+ Sexual Health and HIV) Study from UNSW. As a member of the study’s advisory panel, Angela shares what makes this research so important and why it’s a milestone for the bi+ community. We unpack some of the study’s most interesting findings, challenge long-held myths about bisexuality, discuss what the research reveals about sexual health, HIV, healthcare experiences, and community, and finish with a few surprising statistics that caught us completely off guard. Whether you’re bi+, an ally, a healthcare professional, or just curious about what the latest research says, this episode explores how better data can lead to better health, better representation, and better outcomes for the bi+ community. https://bishhstudy.com/ Want to help us out?
