45: [Denise Winters] The Untold Story

from What Came Next · host Broken Cycle Media

Content warning: substance use disorder, substance abuse, sex work, statutory rape, child abuse, sexual abuse, rape, serial rape, murder, and serial murder.Denise Winters is a mother, author, YouTuber, and victim advocate from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. After a very tumultuous childhood, Denise’s heartache did not stop. She was brutally attacked and raped by a man in her neighborhood in her early twenties. For years, she attempted to report her assault via many different avenues, especially when she realized her attacker was a serial killer haunting Milwaukee and surrounding areas over the span of two decades. Despite never receiving personal justice, she has continued to speak out on behalf of the North Side Strangler’s other victims, and to end the silence she was met with for years. She does so via her book, The Untold Story, The One Who Got Away, as well as her YouTube channel, Sip and Speak the Tea with D and D (which also features Danette Ousley, Denise's cousin, who is another What Came Next guest). The Broken Cycle Media team is so grateful for the advocacy and inspiration Denise has mustered, despite all that came next in her journey.Denise's Instagram:http://www.instagram.com/denisewinters12 The Untold Story: The One Who Got Awayhttps://amzn.to/3RmOkrUSip and Speak the Tea with D & Dhttps://www.youtube.com/@sipandspeaktheteawithdd1509[Danette Ousley] Walk By Faithhttps://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/what-came-next/id1674051643?i=1000605680032

The Sacred +Profane Podcast nephtaragrace The Sacred + Profane Podcast is a provocative conversation dedicated to cementing a better future for all. We specialize in unpacking the nuances of what is considered sacred and profane, particularly focusing on sex, death, and all that pertains to the circle of life. Our aim in focusing on such ”taboo” subject matter is to demystify what is unconscious, bring to light what has been known for centuries as ”the occult,” and empower the rapid transformation that is occurring on the Planet. Explicit The Commonality Podcast with Pilar Pilar Lyutfalieva The Commonality Podcast explores what it means to do our best in today’s messy beautiful world. Hosted by Pilar, a personal and professional coach, we dive into it all with a mix of honesty, humor, and heart. Whether it’s solo musings, breaking down weird astro sh*t, or listening to guest stories, this is your space to remember this life is non linear and you're not alone. Explicit Shut Up I Love It Sasha Feiler and Joe Cabello Many years ago, Sasha Feiler and Joe Cabello met in line for an improv show. They were young, dumb, and full of it. What followed were comedy shows so explicit, “genitalia” was practically a term of endearment.Fast forward 5 dogs, 6 cats, and way too many weird inside jokes later, Sasha and Joe are no longer young or dumb—but they’re still brimming with you-know-what. Here, they’ve teamed up to bring you a podcast where they interview a guest who passionately defends something universally hated, misunderstood, forgotten, overlooked, Mandela-effected, canceled—you name it. The key? They LOVE it. From toupees... to B-movies... to aliens, psychedelics, and the occasional surprise character, Sasha and Joe are here to spread love to the world that birthed them (but maybe should’ve used protection). So come and get that love because no one else will give it to you like we do.Also, don’t forget to check out the Patreon Bonus version of the show:https://www.patreon.com/c/ShutUpILoveItP Explicit The New Marketing Show Trinity Web Media The New Marketing Show by Trinity Web Media discusses how we as marketers are problem solvers.
