Kara has a background in design and wardrobe styling and attended the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM) for graphic design. In 2014 at the age of 21, Kara launched her brand, Styled by Kara, an award-winning styling company that focused on high-end projects for print, editorial, campaign, and celebrity clientele. In 2017, Styled by Kara rebranded and emerged in the digital landscape as a marketing agency offering branding, strategy, social media management, content creation, editorial writing, and PR services. Kara currently manages the marketing and social media for one of my favorite places in Santa Barbara: the Rosewood Miramar Beach.
