When an entire family of tourists went missing while visiting Death Valley in 1996, no one could have predicted where they were. A family member alerted authorities that they were missing, yet no trace of them was found. It wasn’t until three months later, when their minivan was found abandoned within the park did park officials put together the pieces of what may have happened on that July day.
