5: The Power and Importance of Transition

from UnLightened: A Guide to Freedom for Messy Humans

Today we're talking about transition:  how to reintegrate, recombobulate, and ease back into your life after a really great experience, a high high, a big event or milestone, or just any kinda change.   You're going to learn how to do it, how to navigate it, how to identify the need for it, Plus   why it matters, how it'll benefit you and make your life a lot better.    You're going to learn how to spot where you are in the process, if your pre, mid or post transition, and I'm going to give you ideas and tools for how you can work with where you are right now, to either feel better, or plan to make any upcoming transitions go smoother and get more out of your big life stuff.    This is going to help you if you've ever struggled with Sunday blues, post vacation depression, or just feeling really blah and let down after a big thing.  I' m going to help you normalize the feelings and teach you how to take care of yourself.  And it's worth noting,    So here's how it's gonna go: I'm going to share some examples, and stories from my own experience to help you find your own moments of where to apply this   Then I'm going to sell you on why this matters….make a case for why bother   Next I'm going to explain why we might NOT give ourselves adequate transition time, like what's getting in the way?   I'm going to share some warning signs to look for that can clue you into if you NEED transition time , if you're neglecting this very important time…   After that I'll tell you my best tips on how to start taking care of yourself during transitions, as well as before and after, and create and use transition time. I"m going to sorta paint 3 pictures of where you might be in the process, pre mid or post, and specific things you can do in each phase    And last I'll give you a recap/ summary and what I think is a really helpful sorta paradoxical take away thought.    P.S. Do you have feedback? Questions? Comments? Ideas for future episodes? I'd love to hear from you!
