5 Ways To Effectively Wait on God

When you stop to think about it, we wait ALOT. We wait in lines, we wait on our Amazon deliveries... we wait on our kids to get ready and get out the door. HA! That type of waiting can be slightly annoying at times but it is minor in comparison to when we are waiting on God; waiting for the prayer to be answered the way we expected. Waiting for the promise we believed He placed on our heart but we just don't see it yet... Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord ! Psalm 27:14 I will stand my watch And set myself on the rampart, And watch to see what He will say to me, And what I will answer when I am corrected. Then the Lord answered me and said: “Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry. Habakkuk 2:1-3 Waiting is inevitable. However, how you wait is critically important and plays a role in the speed in which you receive what you are hoping for.... - Be deeply connected Intimacy in your relationship with God… a knowing of His presence and His direction, you are missing out if you do not create focused time with Him 1. Be preparing: Skills - what skills do you need to continue to develop Becoming - how does that version of yourself show up 2. Be positioned: surrounding environment (positive, like minded and possible) - state of being (strong mind, healthy body) 3. Be expectant … be looking for the open door if you are not paying attention you can walk right past it Believe, keep believing and look for evidence of His faithfulness 4. Be diligent Effective execution, there are many forms of stewardship we most often hear of it as it relates to money… However, time is even more precious than money. Money is a renewable resource..
