50-Music Literacy with Kristen Pugliese

In this episode, Kristen and I will discuss music literacy.   She has some amazing advice and insights when it comes to helping kids not just learn to count notes, but understand how rhythms and note reading all fit together like a puzzle piece.   Kristin M. Pugliese has been an educator for more than 15 years, first in early childhood education and then in the music classroom. She has worked almost exclusively in Title 1 Schools and helped create music standards for Cambridge Public Schools. In 2009, Kristin created Note Knacks Music; a company devoted to making music more accessible for young children.  Through her company, she provides support for educators via lesson plans, a blog, workshops and as a national clinician.
