50. Sliding Door Moments In My Life

Have you heard of the phrase "Sliding Door Moments" before? If not, here's what it means... "Sliding door moments are opportunities in life where the decisions we make alter our very destiny. Moments in which we turn left or right, towards change or towards more of the same. These are life's pivotal moments in which new identities of ourselves are born and old paradigms and beliefs which no longer serve us - fall away." Amazing right? Most of us already experienced this - and that also includes me... 14 years ago, I was at a crossroad - it was the huge sliding door moment of my life. I was backpacking around Australia, visiting some friends, and having the time of my life. But then, I had a decision to make. Either continue my trip to Sydney where I'll be staying at a friend's house or go back to where I met the man whom I thought was the one. So, I decided to go back despite many people telling me not to go. Looking back now - sitting here and reminiscing, I have made the best decision out of that situation. Seeing now that my business is stable and successful, living my life with contentment - it's such an incredible feeling. But I had these thoughts, what if I didn't go back? What would be my future? What would happen to me? It's amazing how sometimes that we're at a crossroad - every single decision we make is gonna take us to the path of somewhere special.
