513. I'm saved. Great! Now what? (#2) March 20, 2024

Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 20. I will then key in on verse 7 - The righteous man walks in his integrity; His children are blessed after him. Friends, when we receive Jesus into our hearts, we become the righteousness of God (whether we feel like it, or not) & our children will be blessed - two wonderful promises that are ours for making that very important decision. On today's podcast I will go over the two foundational verses for this week Romans 10:verses 9 & 10; & 2 Timothy 2:15 I will then go over 1 Peter, Chapter 5, and read verses 5 through 10. These verses tell us that we need to submit ourselves to God, and humble ourselves (God resists people that are prideful). These verses also remind us that we have an enemy - Satan - and that he will not be happy that we've made this decision. He will work feverishly to tell you that you have made a mistake and that you don't really want to do this - but don't listen to him. I will then suggest a Bible reading plan for people unfamiliar with the Bible. 1. Begin in the Book of Proverbs (whether you tune into this podcast every day - Monday-Friday) read these instructions every day. 2. Get into the Book of Psalms (read 1-2 chapters every day) 3. Read the Gospels - beginning with the gospel of Luke. Call to Action - If you haven't begun reading your Bible, please look at 1, 2, and 3 above.
