The Not Old Better Show - Technology Interview Series

Welcome to The Not Old Better Show.  I'm Paul Vogelzang and this is episode #514.  As part of our Art Of Living interview series, our guest today is Liz Hamburg, President, and founder of Candoo Tech.

I know from your emails and follow up with me that tech is a "can't live with it, can't live without it" sometimes issue.  The Not Old Better Show audience is wired with more innovative technology now than ever before, and while "smart" devices give users new and exciting means to tackle age-old challenges, steep learning curves can make adopting new technology an intimidating feat for even the most adventurous older adult.

Our guest today, Liz Hamburg witnessed this 'can't live with it, can't live without it' phenomenon personally when her own gadget-loving father left her a voice message on her cell phone about his challenges with  "Alexia," [sic] Amazon's Personal Assistant when "Alexia" went out of town.  Let's listen to that message, saved by Liz Hamburg.

That of course is Liz Hamburg's father reporting on his tech challenge with Amazon's "Alexia," [sic].  I've had similar issues arise with my almost 91-year-old mom, living across the country from me.  And, I will tell you that, fully transparently, I have signed my mom up for Candoo Tech (no compensation has been received for this interview, just my belief in what Liz is doing, how she and her team does it, and a great story).

Liz  Hamburg is a high energy, entrepreneurial executive who is passionate about making an impact in the world. She has over 20 years of experience starting up and growing innovative organizations both in the U.S. and international markets. Liz Hamburg is the founder and President of Candoo Tech, providing tech support and training specifically designed for older adults to help keep them independent, safe, and secure. Liz received an MBA from Northwestern's Kellogg Graduate School of Management, a BA from Brown University, and a certificate from the Executive Education program in Social Entrepreneurship at Stanford Business School.

Liz and I discuss that unlike traditional tech support services that focus on fixing specific, user-identified problems, Candoo Tech takes a holistic approach to tech support, identifying the needs of a client, introducing tech-based solutions, educating about tech, and providing clients with ongoing support so seniors can develop proficiency with new devices and tools at their own pace.

Please join me in welcoming to The Not Old Better Show via internet phone, Liz Hamburg.

My thanks to Liz Hamburg, founder and President of Candoo Tech. C A N D O O tech. Com. If you call CanDooTech.com for a fee they will walk you through how to navigate the vaccine websites…just great service.

My thanks, of course, to you, my wonderful Not Old Better Show audi

From a very early age, I was always intrigued by how some people would achieve so much, yet others would struggle.I carried this through my entire working career. When I started a new role, I would often spend a lot of time observing and studying the top performers. Over the years, I have noticed patterns in overachievers, many of which I have incorporated into my work, business and lifestyle.
