Doprava je třetím největším zdrojem emisí CO2 v Česku. Zároveň je ale jednou ze základních potřeb dnešní společnosti. V nové sérii se budeme věnovat právě transformaci dopravního odvětví a otázce, jak ji provést takovým způsobem, aby zůstaly naplněny naše požadavky na mobilitu a zároveň jsme co nejméně zatěžovali životní prostředí a nepřispívali ke změně klimatu. V první epizodě se podíváme na 4 oblasti: (1) Z čeho emise v dopravě pochází a kolik jich vzniká na úrovni ČR i v globálním měřítku. (2) Jaký objem osob a zboží je celosvětově přepravován a kolik dopravní kapacity (a jakého typu) je tím pádem v současnosti potřeba. (3) Jak jsou jednotlivé dopravní prostředky emisně náročné a jaké k nim existují alternativy. (4) Jak můžeme rámcově přemýšlet nad transformací dopravy a jaké jsou možnosti její dekarbonizace.
