#52 - Lilian de Bruijn - Ik kreeg mijn vader niet dood

In ‘Lezen in het Donker’ vertelt Lilian de Bruijn hoe haar vader, volgens haar onderzoek, zijn hoogtij beleefde tijdens de Wederopbouw, maar nog steeds werd geteisterd door demonen uit zijn verleden. Van haar vader had schrijfster Lilian de Bruijn alleen een wazig beeld. Een soort schim in haar hoofd. Ze had vrij weinig van hem meegemaakt en de herinneringen die ze nog had waren vaag en fragmentarisch. De mentale puzzelstukjes vormden samen Ton de Bruijn, haar vader, de kampoverlevende. Een man die tijdens de Wederopbouw opklom van kantoorbediende naar zakenman. Ton de Bruijn probeerde op te krabbelen, maar wist de herinneringen aan het kamp niet af te schudden.
