521. Luke - Chapter 1 (#3) - Mary Visits Elizabeth April 1, 2024

Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 1. I will then go over verses 5 & 6 - A wise man will hear and increase learning, And a man of understanding will attain wise counsel, To understand a proverb and an enigma, The words of the wise and their riddles. Friends, reading the proverb of the day will give you understanding and wisdom. On today's podcast we will continue our study on the Gospel of Luke. We will begin in Chapter 1, verse 39. Mary (the Mother of Jesus) has just been told by the Angle of the Lord that she is to be the mother of Jesus, and that her elderly cousin, Elizabeth is with child. She immediately arranges to go and visit her to help her during this exciting time of her life. Upon completion of this lesson three things that I ask that you consider are these: 1. Mary goes to visit (and help) her cousin Elizabeth with her pregnancy. 2. Elizabeth is filled with the Holy Spirit. 3. Mary will be blessed by the Lord - Mary goes from being an obscure 15 year old virgin girl to the most honored woman in the history of the world.
