56| The Internal Shift Many Nurses Experience Before Changing Direction

Nothing on the outside has changed yet. The schedule is the same. The badge is the same. The unit is the same. But something on the inside is fundamentally different and has been for a while now. That is the internal shift. And for many nurses it arrives quietly, without drama, without a crisis to point to. One day you are fully present in the season you are in and somewhere shortly after that you are not anymore. Not because you became ungrateful or unfaithful. Because something moved.
