57. Raising Generous Givers

Around the holidays, it is easy for us to get caught up in the busyness of the season, focused on what needs to get done and what we hope to receive when the holidays finally arrive. How much easier is it for our kids to do the same? Not understanding when people around them are in need or how to think of others when planning for the holidays. We must teach these skills to our kids and that’s why this week we are talking about empathy and generosity as core values you might have for your family. These are core values that you will almost certainly have opportunities to demonstrate for your kids and teach them about in the next few weeks as the holidays approach. If you are intentional with how you talk to your kids about generosity and show it in your life, the more likely they are to grow up with generous spirits. Have a question about this or other topics?
