574: It's Not About the Mountains, It's About the Journey {Interview with Morgan Ruff}

from Emotionally Uncomfortable

"Life is a daring adventure towards an unknown future. Its beauty depends on how much you enjoy the journey."  ― Debasish Mridha   Morgan is a nature momma at heart and is raising two wild girls in the heart of the Pacific Northwest along with her husband. She grew up in the pacific northwest, spending childhood hours gazing into the beauty of tidepools, chatting with the resident whales as they passed by, and trying to stay focused while inside the confines of the schools. She has an undergraduate degree in environmental eduction which gives her the credentials to run around in the woods singing songs and playing games to teach about nature. After being a kayak and wilderness guide in Alaska and other far off places, Morgan heeded the call to grow up and returned to school to pursue a Master's in marine policy. Morgan now has worked over 12 years to recover endangered Chinook salmon and Orca whales. The mountains and being outside with people continue to call. Morgan has an active Instagram community where she explores the magic of nature, environmental anxiety, climate change, and how we can create more ease and joy amidst the changes we're seeing in the world.     In this episode, Morgan and I talk about: How to become the best version of yourself How to slow down in life and enjoy the journey How to feel fulfilled in every day life   Continue the conversation on Instagram @momisincontrol
