Today on the podcast professional rugby coach Dan McKellar joins me for a chat. Dan has just signed on to be the new head coach of the Leicester Tigers who play in the English Premiership. Prior to his new coaching role, Dan spent 2-years as the forwards coach for the Wallabies. Before coaching the Wallabies, Dan was the Head Coach of the Brumbies for 5 season and won the 2020 Super Rugby Australian Championship. On this episode we talk about: When Dan decided to become a rugby coach Dan talks about his current highlights in his coaching career so far We talk about the 2020 Super Rugby Season and how the brumbies we able to win the championship. Dan talks about how to create a successful team culture and community. Dan talks about how he selects his team each week and also talks about players not getting selected for game day and what that player can do to get back into the match day team.
