It was immediately blocked for copyright infringement In the mix were two songs licensed by the label Pias which did not allow us to use them for this episode. I negotiated over months with the label and was ready to pay their licensing fee of 400€ per song for 3 years despite making no money with the podcast. In the end the communication ended and my emails remained unanswered. We replaced the two songs and pray the episode stays online now. Ueli grew up in a small town in between two lakes close to Lucerne. With his double-deck-tape-recorder from Aiwa he started his first mix tapes, fell in love with the craft and did not stop to this day. Of course the mechanics changed a bit over the years, but the idea stayed the same. Ueli worked for Radio 3FACH before he moved to Berlin in his mid-20s. He hasn’t returned, yet. After several stops including Labels and MTV he was head of music at MotorFM, later to become FluxFM. By the end of 2021 he left FluxFM to start his own podcast „Goldstückli“ with his colleague Winson. Lucerne is actually a small city in the heart of Switzerland. of course it’s beautiful with all those mountains and the crystal clear lake right by the city. but it’s music scene and night life is worth to mention, as well. In the 80s and 90s clubs like Sedel and BOA were elementary for kids and tour schedules from all sorts of bands. And then with Radio 3FACH Lucerne got its very unique radio station made from young people for all the youngsters and young-at-hearts.
